To respond directly to shifting consumer trends, Mondi will showcase its latest range of products at Interpack 2017. The products on display will highlight ease of use and sustainability.
For example, at one corner of the cornerpack pouch, Mondi has added a semicircular tear line, making it easier for consumers to tear open the packaging and pour out the contents.
At the same time, to help consumers enjoy the taste and aroma of products for longer, Mondi has also launched StripePack easy-open packaging to meet the growing demand from quick-service food brands for easy-open packaging.
To help food brands improve shelf appeal, Mondi has introduced a new solution, flexzibox. Thanks to its flat bottom with rounded edges, this flat-bottom pouch stands more stably on the shelf and delivers a more eye-catching effect. At the same time, the packaging is easy to open and can also be resealed, making it suitable for products that need to stay dry, such as coffee, tea and pet food, and giving them a longer shelf life. Printing combines flexo and gravure to give brands a more natural tactile feel and a more refined appearance that catches consumers' eyes.
At the same time, Mondi will also exhibit new materials developed to address packaging waste: laminated films or sealed stand-up pouches made from a single material. Visitors will be the first to see the new materials made from coextruded PE film. Thanks to improved functionality and advanced design, these materials can replace conventional PET / PE laminated films, offering a recycling-friendly option for plastic packaging.
