Siegwerk Launches Global Investment with a Bold EUR 300 Million!
Siegwerk is accelerating its long-term growth strategy "Formula 2030" through a large-scale investment program. The company announced that it will invest more than EUR 300 million (approximately RMB 2.3 billion) over the next five years to expand global capacity, improve operational efficiency, strengthen technical capabilities and enhance customer support.
In 2025, Siegwerk's annual investment volume more than doubled compared with normal levels, reaching a record high. The investment initiatives covered strategic acquisitions, capacity expansion and infrastructure upgrades, among other areas.
In March 2026, the company completed the acquisition of India's Hi-Tech Inks, significantly strengthening its position in India's fast-growing flexible packaging market. By integrating their manufacturing footprints and product portfolios, the two entities now hold more than 20% of the Indian flexible packaging ink market, making them the largest market participant in the region.
As a concrete regional implementation of the "Formula 2030" strategy, Siegwerk recently announced that it will significantly increase its investment in the United States and Canada to strengthen competitiveness, expand capabilities and support future customer growth.
At its Des Moines, Iowa plant, the company is carrying out a number of capacity expansion and operational efficiency projects, including upgrading grinding and blending equipment and building a new warehouse to support growth in its solvent-based business. At its Morganton, North Carolina plant, Siegwerk is expanding production capacity for water-based and UV inkjet inks, with completion expected in 2026, in order to expand its capabilities in the fastest-growing technology segment of the packaging industry. In addition, the plant will install solar panels through the company's dedicated green fund to partially meet its operational electricity needs with renewable energy.
