KODY PACK History: Bag-in-Box Factory Expansion & Equipment Upgrade
- KODY PACK began with Dongguan Kody Packaging Material Factory in 2011, was renamed Dongguan Kody Packaging Products Co., LTD. in 2016, and became Guangdong Kody Packaging Products Co., Ltd. after a 2019 relocation.
- In May 2020 it added an automatic bag-in-box making machine, and in September 2021 it added two bag slitting machines, smoothing the flow from roll film to finished bags.
- In 2022 it added one curing machine, and in 2023 it added one laminating machine plus one automatic bag-in-box making machine capable of producing BIB bags up to 220L.
- Its factory area expanded to over 6,000 square meters in 2021 and to over 8,000 square meters in 2023, increasing both capacity and storage space.
- Its in-house process chain covers laminating, curing, slitting and bag making in the same factory, and its bag type coverage includes spout pouches, bag-in-box, stand-up pouches with tap, colostrum bags, liquid packaging bags and laminated roll film.
This article is the official development record of Guangdong Kody Packaging (KODY PACK). It walks through the milestones behind our factory expansion, new equipment and company renaming, starting from 2011. 2011–2019: From a Dongguan Packaging Material Factory to Guangdong Kody Packaging
- 2011: Dongguan Kody Packaging Material Factory was established
- 2015: Expansion of factory building area
- 2016: Renamed Dongguan Kody Packaging Products Co., LTD.
- 2019: Factory relocation; Guangdong Kody Packaging Products Co., Ltd. was established
This period was about building the basics of material and bag making, covering factory space, the legal entity and production capability that later supported bag-in-box and spout pouch orders.
2020–2021: Bag-in-Box Making and Slitting Capacity Expanded in Parallel
- May 2020: Added a new automatic machine for bag in box making
- 2020: Won the Network Selection champion of "Most Professional Packaging Company" in Dongguan city
- September 2021: Added two new bag slitting machines
- 2021: Expanded the factory area again (factory area > 6,000 square meters)
Bag-in-box is one of the main formats among liquid packaging bags, widely used for concentrated juice, syrup, edible oil and sauces. During these two years we expanded the bag making capacity while also adding front-end slitting capability, making the flow from roll film to finished bag smoother.
2022–2023: Curing and Laminating Equipment Added, Factory Area Over 8,000 Square Meters
- 2022: Added one curing machine
- March 2023: Added one automatic bag in box making machine (it can produce up to 220L BIB bag)
- 2023: Added one laminating machine
- 2023: Expanded the factory area again (factory area > 8,000 square meters)
With the curing machine and laminating machine in place, we gained stronger in-house control over the inner structure, peel strength and residual solvent of laminated film, while the new bag in box making machine raised the size ceiling for large-capacity liquid packaging.
